Dear CSDH attendees,
We warmly invite you to sign up to adjudicate this year’s Ian Lancashire Award at the CSDH conference. This award is given annually to the best student presentation at the CSDH conference. Your work contributing to these evaluations is very meaningful to CSDH and to the students.
How do I sign up?
You’ll find the sign up sheet and details about student presentations here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yBtXrVYRGRzL3qj7M4ZElHlcL3T4l2-xOpEDwbV4DR4/edit?usp=sharing
How do I complete a review?
The evaluation is very simple! Reviews are completed through a Google Form, which you’ll find at this link: https://forms.gle/Keeym1oqiqx2bheJ8
You’ll be asked to rank each paper out of 5 for three categories: overall quality of research, performance during Q&A, and degree of difficulty of topic and material. At the end of these three categories, there is a space for comments, which may be used for tie breakers and to praise the student papers during awards announcements. I hope that you’ll take some time to fill out these comments!
What if I have questions?
If you have questions in advance, please contact CSDH Awards Committee members Emily Murphy (emily.murphy@ubc.ca) or Julia Polyck-O’Neill (juliapolyckoneill@gmail.com). If you have questions while at the conference, please contact Kim Martin (kmarti20@uoguelph.ca).
Thank you in advance for your contributions to the Lancashire Award!
