The Canadian Society for Digital Humanities / La société canadienne des humanités numériques is pleased to announce Dominic Forest as the newest editor of Digital Studies / Le champ numérique (DSCN) as of August 2025.

Dominic Forest is a professor at the Université de Montréal in the School of Library and Information Science, specialising in the use of artificial intelligence in text analysis and digital publishing. He has previously served CSDH / SCHN as VP Francophone for six years and has been a member of the DSCN editorial board for over a decade.

“We’re really pleased that Dominic is taking over the editorship of our journal,” says Harvey Quamen, president of CSDH / SCHN. “He’s been on the editorial board for the last decade and has seen firsthand the efficient and economical workflows developed by our outgoing editor, Dan O’Donnell. The journal is certainly remaining in good hands as it finds its new home in Montreal and we’re looking forward to many more years of outstanding leadership and high-quality publications.”

The CSDH / SCHN extend their congratulations in Dominic’s appointment and are excited to see the direction the journal will take at UdeM.
